Job Title: Wait Staff

Reports To: Restaurant Manager
Department: Front of House
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, (Part Time - 20 to 30 hour week)

Pay: $3.25 per hour plus tips

⭐ Position Summary

The Server is responsible for creating an outstanding guest experience by providing friendly, accurate, and efficient service. Every guest should feel welcomed, appreciated, and eager to return. Servers represent the Southfork Family and are expected to demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and pride in every interaction.

⭐ Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Dishwashing Duties

• Greet guests promptly with a friendly attitude.

• Learn and accurately explain menu items and daily specials.

• Take food and beverage orders accurately.

• Enter orders correctly into the POS.

• Deliver food promptly and verify order accuracy.

• Monitor tables and refill beverages proactively.

• Process cash, credit card, and gift card transactions accurately.

• Keep dining room, beverage station, and server areas clean.

• Complete assigned opening, running, and closing side work.

• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management.

• Resolve guest concerns or notify management immediately.

Guest Service Standards

• Smile and acknowledge every guest.

• Treat every guest with courtesy and respect.

• Anticipate guest needs before being asked.

• Thank every guest for choosing Southfork.

• Never argue with a guest; involve a manager when necessary.

⭐ Required Qualifications

Reliable and punctual

Positive attitude, even during busy times

Excellent communication skills

Able to work in fast-paced environment being on your feet for extended periods

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and handle repetitive lifting

Ability to follow cleaning checklists and instructions

Strong attention to detail

Willingness to learn and accept coaching

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

Prior restaurant or customer service experience

Basic understanding of sanitation standards

POS experience

Team-oriented mindset
